January 21st

I have come to terms that this is probably just a Lost blog for the most part.

The Return of LOST

Tomorrow night is LOST night!!!! I am interested to see if the flash-forwards will focus on more then one character. Who knows!!! So far my husband and I believe that the freighter people are hired by Charles Widmore. He is super rich and my have some ties or interests on the island. Locke has gone completely nuts, or has he? Maybe the island really does speak to him and he is clued into something that we are totally unaware of. I think the ties between Libby, Desmond, and Hurley are going to be revealed this season. That will be intense! I seriously cannot wait until 9pm tomorrow evening!!!!

January 31

LOST will return on January 31st. The new night and time is Thursday’s at nine. I cannot wait! Read more about it here.

Lost Blu-Ray Edition

lost3.jpg

The fact that Lost has been released on Blu-Ray has sealed the deal for us. Yup we are caving in and picking up a 40 gig PS3. We were given a generous Amazon giftcard and decided to look into Blu-Ray players. We first thought it be best to buy a Blu-Ray drive for the computer and stream media via Media Center. Then we realized that we would not be able to get the full audio/video capabilities. Next we looked into standalone Blu-Ray players. The cheapest model we found has a bunch of serious issues which make it not worth the cash. The next model up was way too expensive. So the PS3 40 gig is what we settled on. A much cheaper alternative to a Blu-Ray player. Its quiet, fast, and runs cool. We get Spider-Man 3 (lame) plus another 5 dvds free! This will not be our “gaming machine” but we will probably pick up a few PS3 exclusives such as MGS4 or Tekken 6.

Comic-Con Wrap Up

Comic-Con was awesome yet again. There were so many people that each day of the convention was sold out. We got to the Lost panel 3 hours early and the line had already wrapped around the hallway. It was pretty good though they didn’t give much away besides that Michael is going to return to the island. At the end they showed a Dharma clip which was pretty funny. We also sat through the Stargate Atlantis panel just because it was before the Rob Zombie Halloween Panel. Halloween looks like it is going to be awesome. Michael Myers looks super strong from the clip we where shown. Next was the Mist panel which we walked out on because it looks so BAD. The Family Guy panel was awesome and they showed a set of clips from the upcoming Star Wars episode. I can’t wait for September. Seth McFarlane is one funny guy. The last panel we went to was the screening of the new Fox tv show, The Chronicles of Sara Connor. It was an new take on the Terminator series. I really enjoyed the episode especially the new terminator character. However it is Fox and the show will probably get canceled before the 3rd episode. Oh well. The exhibit hall was insane this year. We got tons of free stuff, even the elusive 300 cardboard shield.

As for celebrities, I saw a bunch. So I will just make a list.

Henry Rollins
Kevin Smith
Hal Sparks
Clive Barker
The Blonde Lone Gunmen from the X Files
The dude who plays the Punisher
Deanna Troy
Q
Major Nelson
and a bunch of others that just slipped my mind.

So it was a pretty busy week. We also crammed in going to Sea World, Disneyland, Coronado, The Beach, Old Town, Mission Valley, and In N Out Burger!

Dork Attack!

It’s official that the Lost Season 4 panel is going to be on Thursday July 26 @ Comic-Con. I can’t wait!

Shadowrun is a fun game. So much fun that we have it for both the PC and Xbox. It’s basicly capture the flag with guns, elves, and trolls. Now only if more people that know owned the game.

Transformers was really good in that eye candy sort of way. The plot was pretty blah though.

Anthony Bourdain is my favorite author as of right now. Mikeee and I are definite Crypts.

I want to find a Simpsons 7 Eleven just so I can take some photos.

That’s all for now.

Not Rambo

The Lost season finale was awesome. The best moments were Hurley driving the Van, Bernard’s speech, and Penny’s transmission. So now it is 9 months until any questions will be answered. Maybe in 2 months a few questions will be answered at Comic-Con but I doubt it. So I have a feeling that the Losties aren’t allowed to have any contact with each other back home. Why else would Kate and Jack have to meet in secret. Plus wouldn’t there have been other Losties at the mystery funeral? Hmmm. Jack’s flashforwards were pretty interesting. What happened to push him so far over the edge? Who was Naomi working for? Did Jack really put the Losties in danger though we know at least he and Kate eventually go home. Is Kate married to Sawyer? So many questions!

Cheese

2 hour Lost season finale is at 9pm tonight. Some drunken goat cheese and crackers were bought for snacking. Paaaaaarty!

Not awesome

I am a nerd and/or dork because I mostly blog about Lost. This in fact makes me anything but awesome. Just thought that I would share that nugget.

I’m Totally Lost

Last night’s episode of Lost was insane. At first I really thought the show had chickened out with Jacob being invisible and/or Ben being slightly schizo. However this morning while surfing the tailsection I came across the screen capture of what looks to be a man sitting in the chair. Woah! Is this smokie or a ghost of someone else? Maybe it is John Locke himself. However I now believe that there is no way Ben can communicate with “Jacob.” Why do you think Ben was so angry when Jacob told Locke “help me.” Ben could not hear it! Jacob is so angry because Ben is holding him in the creepy cabin against his will. I do have a problem with Dharma being shown as a bunch of boring hippies with no real reason to be on the island except for self realization and enlightenment. Another reveal was that there was never a virus/sickness that killed the Dharma workers, it was just the “hostiles” taking back their island. And what is up with Richard not aging a day in 30+ years and why is he taking orders from Ben. I seriously hope that we are not left in the dark about all of the new revelations. I can’t wait for next week!
